What to look for during showings
- As a buyer, you’re looking at the rooms, the layout, the sizing, the things that are important to you. Do you want a big kitchen? Do you need a lot of yard space for your pets?
What agents are looking for
- As realtors, we will look at the mechanicals. The roof, the furnace, the windows, hot water tank, the foundation, water stains on the ceiling. (We’ve been through many inspections and know what to look for and will point out to you, good and bad!)
- We can act as a reminder of your original wish list so you can stick to your plan
How to decide which house is a good fit for you
- You’re going to have a checklist. When most of the boxes are checked, you’ll get a feeling where you can picture yourself in a home.
- If you walk into a house and you don’t feel it, watch that gut feeling!
