Martin Luther King Jr. Park in downtown Rochester transforms into a music mecca every Thursday. Hosted by the City of Rochester, this series presents a wide range of music including blues, funk, rock, reggae and classic rock.
Bands on the Bricks - August 9

One of Rochester's most popular FREE concert series, Bands on the Bricks brings the City of Rochester Public Market to the evening set with national-act and local live music on five consecutive Friday nights in July and August. Food and drink vendors will be on hand to provide the sustenance you need to dance the evening away!

Rochester’s premier Caribbean Festival! Performing live is international Reggae artist, Tarrus Riley backed by Dean Fraser & The Blak Soil Band. This is the 35th anniversary so you know it will be a great day filled with great music, great food and great people.
Mount Hope Cemetery Public Tours - Sundays through October 27

The Friends of Mount Hope Cemetery offer general and special-theme guided walking tours throughout the year. Please note that Mount Hope Cemetery is a natural terrain, and tours are not always kept to paved paths. There is often walking in grass, dirt paths, and some hills, particularly in the north end. We recommend comfortable walking shoes -- not open sandals. If you have any questions or doubts about the particular tour you'd like to take, please call ahead for more details. General and Theme Tours typically take 90 minutes. Twilight Tours are approximately 75 minutes long.

Since 1995, the City of Rochester has produced its legendary “Rochester Music Festival” as a family-friendly experience designed to offer authentic, grassroots community engagement. Building on that legacy, 2019 will be even more momentous. With a focus on community and creating a huge boost for local businesses, this year’s festivities will celebrate the 24th Anniversary of this historic festival.
